The initial focus of The CroesOliva Group was to help physicians in private practice operate profitably in an increasingly demanding market.
During the early 90's, as healthcare reimbursement rates tumbled, competition for patients intensified. Physicians in private practice were the first to feel the pressure to simultaneously increase revenue and lower the cost of care delivery.
Using an innovative, multi-disciplined approach, The CroesOliva Group helped these private practices achieve what they had previously thought impossible: improved access and higher profits.
In the mid 90's, the pressure to deliver medical care more efficiently spread to community hospitals and integrated delivery systems. Looking to bolster their services through partnerships, these organizations began to buy physician practices, which they pushed and pulled in an effort to manage them profitably. When resistance was encountered, The CroesOliva Group was brought in to help. Through our efforts, community hospitals and integrated delivery systems found ways to make their new alliances more successful.
The late 90's brought academic medical centers into the fray. Faced with dwindling research and teaching dollars, these centers were now being pressured to provide clinical care on, at the very least, a break-even basis. Applying the lessons learned through successful physician practice management, The CroesOliva Group began helping academic medical centers reap greater revenue from clinical care without curtailing their commitments to research and teaching.
